WHY?
No matter if you prefer to be a reader, acquiring knowledge of what others have contributed (remember to leave a comment expressing your appreciation:)), or a contributor, being eager to share your knowledge and collections with other Godard passionate film lovers, or even a leader of this online community when you have contributed a lot and would like to make further improvements, you would find this online community a perfect place for you!
In our knowledge economy, the capacity to form connections between sources of information, and thereby create useful information patterns is essential (Siemens, 2005). People not only learn in the self-oriented system but also need to learn where to learn (Simens, 2005). Thus, this blog will be posted on various general film forums, posted as comments under films' videos, and printed as posters to spread into film clubs. On one hand, considering French New Wave cinema is a relative niche film topic, people who would like to join would be much more passionate to find the community they belonged. On the other hand, Jean-Luc Godard has a huge reputation for people who are interested in the art of film, which creates a solid fan base. At the same time, many directors, actors, critics, and news institutions cherishing the memory of the impressive filmmaker certainly drive more people's attention to honor his achievement and get to know his spiritual wealth.
HOW?
step1: There are two categories in the online community, one is personal opinions such as your reviews of his films, and another is resources such as interviews, film techniques, etc. Browse others' posts, and find what is interesting and useful! (Posts are sorted in the order of their latest comments.)
step2: Post your experience with Godard's films, your interpretations, and related resources you would like to share.
step3: Download articles and videos. (You can only download any resource after at least 3 posts, 3 shares to your social media, or 5 comments on others' posts. )
step4: Check the ranking list and your title! The more you have interacted with other community members, the higher your rank will be.

Deletetx! I find a good link in a post is equivalent to 2-3 paragraphs of well written exposition. More space for art! Arrgh!
DeleteHi Margaret!
ReplyDeleteLike you said French New Wave cinema is a relatively minority film topic, only after reading your essay did I learn about Godard and his movies.I believe this platform can better promote his films, and also attract more people who love this kind of films to participate in this online community. I really like the features of downloading article and video of yours, and the ranking list, which will promote the engagement. And I am wondering about the copyright of the articles and videos and the way they are sourced.
Hi Jiayu! I am glad you enjoy my little introduction to Godard and thank you for commenting:) And thank you for bring out the question of copyright, I believe everyone who wants to join this online community will receive a reminder to respect the copyright of others' creations. And when downloading someone else's article or video, the creator's watermark will be added to the end of the content to prevent piracy.
DeleteI thoroughly enjoyed reading your article! I can feel your love for movies, for Jean-Luc Godard. I'm so looking forward to the 60th New York Film Festival, I bought a movie ticket for Stonewalling on October 10th.:))))))
